UDA set to announce Ol Kalou nominee amid low turnout and tensions

The hotly contested nominations attracted 10 candidates seeking to be the party’s flag bearer. The primaries, however, experienced a low voter turnout amid reports of voter manipulation and intimidation targeting rival camps that threatened to disrupt the exercise. Calm was later restored, allowing the voting process to proceed and conclude as scheduled.
