Students from the University of Nairobi’s faculty of health sciences have staged a protest to demand the release of their examination results. The students say the delay has disrupted their academic progress, leaving them uncertain about whether to advance to the next academic year or prepare for supplementary exams. A memo by the dean’s office had indicated that the results would be out by July 15, but no results have been released one and a half months later. Lecturers have linked the issue to unpaid dues from the university, while students insist, they have met all requirements, including paying exam fees and sitting for the tests. The learners are calling on the Ministry of Education to intervene, warning that the entire faculty of health sciences remains at risk of disruption if the issue is not resolved.
