Members of parliament have voiced outrage following the police shooting of a hawker during protests in Nairobi. The MPs condemned what they described as the use of excessive force by police, after the man, identified by witnesses as a mask vendor, was shot. The lawmakers warned that such actions by rogue officers continue to widen the rift between the police and the public. They have demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution of those found culpable.
