Veteran Journalist Macharia Gaitho has been released after he was abducted at Karen Police Station by detectives from the directorate of criminal investigations. Gaitho alongside his son had driven to the station to seek refuge after discovering a car was trailing them from their home in Karen. The media fraternity including the Kenya Editors Guild has condemned the incident as an affront to the journalists for covering the protests. However DCI boss Mohamed Amin, in a statement, has said, it was a case of mistaken Identity.
