Water CS raises alarm over increasing illegal water connections

    The government is collaborating with development partners to cut on non-revenue water and improve connectivity and sanitation across the country. Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Engineer Eric Mugaa says non-revenue water which currently stands at an average of 60 percent remains the biggest impediment to the country’s quest to achieve 100 percent water connectivity by 2030. Muriithi says adequate security personnel have been deployed to guard infrastructural installations, warning of stiff penalties against vandals.
