After 19 years with Kenya Wildlife Service, Sergeant Beatrice Jemutai Mitei has built a career of capturing crocodiles, hippos and lions while challenging perceptions about women in wildlife operation. Sergeant, Beatrice who is veterinary and intervention officer, has been leading a team of 29 officers in capturing and relocating more than 50 crocodiles from Lake Baringo, as rising waters intensify human-wildlife conflict.
