A section of women Representatives drawn from the 47 counties, have embarked on a rigorous national peace campaign across the country engaging the youths to end the weekly anti-government protests, noting that it has been infiltrated as it has turned out violent leaving scores dead. They instead are urging the youths to give dialogue a chance to salvage the country from running into more losses. Nyandarua Women Representative Faith Gitau said that the President agreed to a raft of demands including dropping the controversial Finance Bill and sacking his Cabinet, hence the protest is uncalled-for. While echoing her sentiments, her counterparts noted that the anti-government protests has already affected all development plans and paralyzed government operations across the country. Further adding that if it goes untamed, it could cripple the country’s economy hence leading to more suffering for thousands of Kenyans.
