As AI becomes part of everyday life, a recent Google Search Trends report in Nigeria shows a sharp rise in the number of young people in Africa's most populous country using the tool to teach themselves foreign languages. From preparing for jobs and travel abroad to reconnecting with family overseas, many say AI is making language learning faster, cheaper and more personal. The trend comes as many young professionals continue to leave Nigeria in search of better opportunities.
