Families in Nyamira hold memorial for accident victims

It was a day of deep sorrow in Nyamira County as families, friends and leaders gathered to bid farewell to 18 people who lost their lives in two separate tragic road accidents in Chabera, Homa Bay County, and Ekerenyo in Nyamira, last weekend. A joint memorial service for the deceased was held at Rangenyo Catholic Church grounds, followed by burials at the different affected homesteads, where 9 of the 18 were later laid to rest.
