Family demands justice after man allegedly assaulted by police in Nairobi

A family in Waruku, Nairobi is demanding for justice after their kin was allegedly assaulted by a police officer and unknown persons in the area on the 21st of December. Elly Kipkosgei claims he was assaulted by an officer attached to Muthangari police station over an unpaid beer bill which left him with serious head, hand, leg and buttock injuries. Police have dismissed the allegations saying Kipkosgei was a victim of mob justice and that the matter is still under investigations.
