Counties Cry Foul Over E-Procurement Push, Cite Poor Planning

Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi, who also chairs the Council of Governors, has criticised the rollout of the new electronic procurement (e-procurement) system, terming it rushed and poorly planned. Speaking after an Extra-Ordinary Council of Governors meeting on Monday, Abdullahi said counties were not adequately consulted, warning that the approach risks creating confusion and inefficiency in public procurement processes.
