18 suspects are in police custody following a crackdown on those behind the harassment and intimidation of foreign nationals. Nairobi Regional Police Commander Issa Mohammud, confirming the suspects face various charges, said security remains tight within the capital. Speaking alongside senior regional security chiefs, Mohammed revealed the crime rates within the city have dropped owing to a multi-agency approach. He urged Nairobi residents to report any incidents of insecurity, particularly phone snatching and other petty crimes.
