29,000 YOUTH REGISTER FOR NYOTA PROJECT IN KISII AS VERIFICATION EXERCISE KICKS OFF

    State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Principal Secretary (PS) Stephen Isaboke has confirmed that about 29,000 youth registered for the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) project in Kisii. Speaking during the verification exercise of the project at Kisii National Polytechnic in Kisii town, Isaboke said the process had kicked off smoothly and a huge turnout had been witnessed at the institution, which is the verification center for youth from Nyaribari Chache Constituency. He noted the process seeks to confirm the eligibility of applicants and ensure that qualified youth are selected to benefit from every ward across the county. The PS pointed out that after the screening, at least 3,150 youth from Kisii will benefit from the Sh 50,000 start-up grant to launch and grow their businesses.
