Activists rally Kenyans ahead of Saba Saba protests

Activists and human rights defenders are calling on Kenyans to turn out in large numbers for Tuesday's peaceful Saba Saba march to Parliament to protest alleged forced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. They have also urged Kenyans in other parts of the country to hold peaceful demonstrations. The organisers have accused the government of planning to disrupt the protests and warned that the Inspector General of Police will be held accountable if violence occurs. They say both the National Police Service and Parliament were formally notified of the planned demonstrations last Thursday.
