AFRICAN YOUTH URGED TO CHAMPION PEACE THROUGH DEMOCRATIC PARTICIPATION AND DIALOGUE

Youth leaders from across East Africa have been urged to take a leading role in promoting peace, civic engagement, and democratic participation during election periods. Speaking at the 7th Regional Youth in Action (YIA) Forum in Nairobi, peace advocates, development partners, and youth representatives emphasized the importance of empowering young people to use democratic spaces, legal frameworks, and digital platforms to prevent election-related violence and strengthen social cohesion.
