AVOCADO PROCESSORS IN MURANG’A CHALLENGED TO ADOPT SAFE WASTE DISPOSAL

Avocado processors in Murang’a County have been challenged to adopt safe and sustainable waste disposal practices and turn avocado waste into a source of jobs, income and new business opportunities. Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Dr. Deborah Barasa inspected avocado processing factories and waste disposal sites in Kandara and Maragua Sub-Counties following complaints from residents over the illegal dumping of untreated avocado waste.
