Chief, wife and two others arrested over sexual assault allegations

The chief, his wife, and two suspects have been arrested following the brutal sexual assault on a woman in the chief’s homestead in Kapsaos, Elgeyo Marakwet County. The victim of the attack is recovering after undergoing corrective surgery on her private parts that were destroyed in the attack that also involved the use of a bottle. Residents of the area have decried the incident and the general insecurity in the area.
