CICC WARNS AGAINST USING YOUTH TO FUEL POLITICAL TENSIONS AHEAD OF 2027 ELECTIONS

The Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics (CICC) has raised concern over emerging political tensions ahead of the 2027 General Election, warning political leaders against using young people to fuel hatred, violence and political divisions. Speaking in Mombasa during the launch of the Tupo Pamoja II programme, CICC Secretary-General Bishop Abarija P'mine Kinnogah urged politicians to compete through ideas and policies rather than incitement, misinformation and hate speech.
