Civil society decries rights violations as Maraga says Constitution is under siege

Civil society organisations have called for an end to human rights violations, killings and enforced disappearances if the true spirit of the Constitution is to be upheld. Former Chief Justice David Maraga said the Constitution is under siege, condemning what he termed cosmetic implementation and oppressive actions. Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka said the promise of devolution remains unfulfilled, 13 years after its rollout.
