The High Court has issued conservatory orders stopping the proposed construction of a State Lodge, a golf course, and an airstrip within Imenti Forest in Meru County pending the hearing and determination of a constitutional petition challenging the project.
In his ruling, Justice Oguttu Mboya held that allowing the project to proceed before the petition is determined could cause irreversible harm and render the case nugatory if the petitioners ultimately succeed.
