Geoffrey Ruku Warns ODM to Keep Off Deputy President’s Seat

A charged political atmosphere unfolded at Joy Holy Trinity Church as Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku declared that the Deputy President’s position belongs firmly to Kithure Kindiki and is not up for negotiation. Ruku told congregants that while the government operates under a broad-based arrangement for unity, the DP seat is historically anchored in the Mt Kenya region and should not be touched by the Orange Democratic Movement — adding that any future talks can only happen when Kindiki seeks the presidency in 2032.
