Thousands of residents in Tana River County are set to benefit from improved access to water following the commissioning of the Miidi and Hambaresa Earth-fill Dams, built at a combined cost of nearly Sh190 million. The two dams, each with a storage capacity of 100,000 cubic metres, are expected to provide reliable water for households and livestock, improve food security, strengthen climate resilience and reduce conflicts caused by water scarcity.
