Government releases Sh5.64bn to publishers, Grade 10 books due soon

The government, through the Ministry of education has disbursed 5.64 billion shillings to publishers, out of the 11.4 billion shillings owed to them. The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and the Kenya Publishers Association (KPA), in a joint statement, noted that the association had received the funds from the Ministry of Education to be used for the settlement of outstanding payments owed to publishers, as well as to facilitate the printing of grade 10 textbooks.
