Government Spokesman Charles Owino has warned individuals spreading misinformation about the government, saying his office will counter false claims with facts and verifiable information.
Speaking in Siaya Town during a fundraising drive for the Siaya Press Club, Owino said Kenyans have the right to criticize the government, but criticism should be constructive and based on facts. He also urged journalists to uphold professional ethics and avoid becoming conduits for misinformation, disinformation and misuse of artificial intelligence.
