TEACHERS SHORTAGE A section of parents in Butere Girls High School, Kakamega County, has urged the government to ensure schools are adequately resourced and address the shortage of teachers to allow effective implementation of the Competency-Based Education (CBE). The parents, led by the Parents Teachers Association representative Jael Gudu, disclosed that the school has 54 teachers against the targeted 98 teachers, a gap that could impact academic performance. At the same time, Gudu urged parents to actively involve themselves in their children’s education to encourage academic excellence.
