Garissa Governor Nathif Jama has defended the construction of the Garissa County Museum, describing it as a vital investment in preserving the county’s history, culture and indigenous knowledge. The museum will be established at the former Ministry of Health offices, a historic red-brick building constructed in 1932 that once housed Garissa’s first hospital. The facility will include sections dedicated to indigenous knowledge and traditional medicine, helping document and preserve knowledge passed down through generations.
