Health bodies alarmed by rising maternal deaths

To the health sector now, and tonight, professional bodies are alarmed by rising maternal deaths attributed to the prolonged nurses' strike that entered its 37th day today. A total of 75 maternal deaths and nearly 500 prenatal deaths have been recorded in what the Kenya Medical Association is describing as a turn to the worse in the health sector crisis.
