Heavy police deployment seals off Nairobi during Saba Saba

Fears of possible violence during the Saba Saba commemoration prompted a heavy police deployment across Nairobi's Central Business District. Officers from various police units formed a ring of security around the city, patrolling streets in police vans, Subaru vehicles, and on horseback. Hundreds of officers remained on high alert to respond to any security incidents, while their colleagues mounted roadblocks on major highways leading into the capital. Gatete Njoroge reports.
