High Court nullifies appointment of 21 presidential advisers

The High Court has declared unconstitutional the appointment of 21 advisers serving in the Office of the President. Justice Bahati Mwamuye ruled that the process used to create the advisory positions and appoint the office holders violated the Constitution and public service laws.The court has since nullified the appointments, stopped any payments to the advisers, and ordered a comprehensive audit of offices created during the same period.
