Hillside School Fire: Families mourn 21 pupils one year on

One year since the fire tragedy at Hillside Endarasha Academy in Nyeri County, the school community is yet to find answers as to the source of the night fire that consumed a dormitory killing 21 boys. The pain of loss is still fresh in the hearts and minds of families that lost their sons. They accuse the government of neglecting them despite numerous assurances that they would get answers. Interior cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen now says, an inquest into the tragedy may be the only way to establish what exactly happened on the night of 5th September last year.
