IEBC says election technology tender is open and transparent

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) says the tender for election technology is above board, open and transparent. Responding to claims by DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua that there are plans to rig next year’s presidential election through the procurement of electoral technology, IEBC Chairperson Erastus Ethekon said no award had been made to any company, including Miru Systems Ltd, and urged bidders to stop politicising the tendering process.
