Kilifi County Government has pledged to transform rural trading centres into 24-hour economies through the construction of cabro-paved roads and installation of street lighting. Speaking during the launch of a 400-metre cabro-paved road at Kakoneni Trading Centre in Jilore Ward, Malindi Constituency, Acting County Secretary Philip Charo said the initiative is aimed at opening up rural areas, improving transport and stimulating economic activity.
