Kenya to host first Halal expo to tap into $7 trillion market

Kenya will host the first East Africa Halal Expo in May 2026, positioning the country at the center of the continent’s halal economy.The event, organized by the Future Growth Forum and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is part of efforts to open new trade and investment opportunities. Future Growth Forum CEO Abdulaziz Billow Ali says the expo will tap into the seven trillion dollar global halal market spanning food, finance, pharmaceuticals, and lifestyle industries.
