Alex Wachira - PS Energy and Petroleum: The programme, which targets more than 300,000 new electricity connections nationwide, is already underway in Kilifi County. Villages that have lived without power for up to sixty years are now set to receive electricity for the first time. Funded by the National Government and implemented by the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC), the projects form part of a broader strategy to achieve universal electricity access, enhance food security, and promote economic growth.
