Detectives are investigating an incident in Lumakanda, Kakamega County, where a 39-year-old man died after setting himself on fire. Police said Moffat Munubi, who has been quarrelling with his wife, came home with petrol in a 20-litre jerrycan. An altercation then ensued between the couple, during which the man assaulted his wife with a hammer in an attempt to kill her but failed. He then poured the petrol on his body before setting himself ablaze.
