MIGORI RESIDENTS DEMAND URGENT RECONSTRUCTION OF CLOSED TOWN BRIDGE

Residents of Migori Town are urging both the national and county governments to fast-track the reconstruction of the closed Migori Bridge, saying the prolonged closure has disrupted transport, trade, and daily life. The bridge, located on the A1 highway linking Migori, Isebania, Kisii and Kuria towns, was closed by the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) after its structural integrity was compromised by rising water levels in River Migori.
