MOMBASA URGED TO FAST TRACK MUNICIPAL STADIUM AND INVEST IN YOUTH FOOTBALL

Mombasa County has been urged to fast-track the construction of the stalled Mombasa Municipal Stadium and invest in more sports facilities to nurture young football talent. The call came during the launch of an Under-13 football tournament at the Technical University of Mombasa football ground. Organisers said sports can help keep young people away from crime, drug abuse and political violence while providing opportunities to develop their talents.
