The government has launched the Murang’a Legal Aid and Justice Centre in Kenol as part of efforts to expand access to justice and provide legal support to vulnerable groups.
Speaking during the launch, Principal Secretary in the State Department for Justice, Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs, Judith Pareno, called for stronger partnerships between government, private sector players and civil society organisations to ensure more Kenyans can access legal services.
The new centre will address various legal challenges, including land disputes, children in conflict with the law, succession matters, civil disputes, constitutional rights and public interest litigation.
