Murkomen, officials call for humane prison reforms

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has stressed the need for humane prison conditions to enhance the rehabilitation of inmates. He noted that the issue of poor living conditions has repeatedly come up during the ongoing Jukwaa la Usalama counties tour, adding that prisons must focus on supporting transformation rather than simply punishing offenders.
