Kiwimbi Kenya is nurturing a culture of STEM education and reading among learners in rural communities of Amagoro, Teso North, Busia County.
Through its community library and annual mathematics contests, the NGO is helping learners strengthen their numeracy and literacy skills while encouraging them to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
More than 833 learners representing over 90 schools participated in the August 2026 Kiwimbi Mathematics Contest. The competition featured four written rounds and a final oral round, with learners from Form Three and Four, as well as Grades 6 to 10, competing in different categories.
