ODM wants new negotiations with UDA before 2027 elections

    A section of ODM leaders are pushing for renewed political negotiations with the ruling UDA party before the 2027 General Election. Speaking in Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County, during a visit to the home of the late former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo, ODM National Chairperson and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, together with Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, said the current power-sharing deal does not reflect ODM’s value in the coalition. Elsewhere Embu senator Alexander Mundigi now says he will not be cowed by expulsion by Democratic Party for supporting the ruling UDA party.
