Olekina faults Ruto over county E-procurement directive

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has strongly opposed President William Ruto’s push to introduce an electronic government procurement (e-GP) system at the county level, warning that it violates constitutional limits and undermines devolution. Olekina argued that counties are constitutionally semi-autonomous and must receive their equitable share of national revenue without undue delay or interference, as provided under Article 219 of the Constitution.
