More than 1,800 participants floated hand in hand on the saline waters of Mar Chiquita lagoon during the Planchita Festival in Miramar de Ansenuza, aiming to break a Guinness World Record and promote tourism in the region. Organisers counted 1,837 people — just short of the 2017 record of 1,941 — with the attempt documented through photos and video despite the absence of official Guinness adjudicators.
