Protest victims’ compensation panel sworn in

A committee appointed by President William Ruto to compensate victims and survivors of protests since 2017 has officially been sworn in. The 18-member panel will be chaired by lawyer Professor Makau Mutua, with Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo as Vice Chair. The tribunal has pledged to deliver justice not only to families who lost loved ones but also to police officers caught in the violence.
