Sharon Otieno’s family pleads with court to spare Obado from jail

In a new twist in the murder case of Sharon Otieno, her family is now pleading with the court to spare former Migori Governor Okoth Obado a custodial sentence, saying they have forgiven him after he sought their forgiveness. Sharon’s mother, Melinda Auma, told the court the family would prefer a non-custodial sentence, which she says would allow Obado to help raise Sharon’s three children.
