State moves to regulate miraa trade via cooperatives

The government has initiated plans to regulate miraa trade through cooperative societies, according to Cooperatives Principal Secretary Patrick Kilemi. Speaking in Mombasa, Kilemi says the ministry has engaged stakeholders and traders in the miraa sector to address rising cases of theft and to track vehicles transporting the crop nationwide.
