Muslim leaders under the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) have endorsed the Government’s Beyond Vision 2030 national conversation, describing it as an opportunity for Kenyans to shape a long-term development agenda beyond short-term political interests. Speaking to journalists in Mombasa, SUPKEM National Chairman Al-Hajj Hassan Ole Naado said the Muslim community would actively participate in the initiative through religious institutions, individuals and organised groups. Naado said Muslim participation would be guided by the five objectives of Sharia: protection of life, family and lineage, livelihood and property, religion, and intellect.
