Tanzania post-election inquiry cites 518 deaths and planned unrest in disputed vote report

    A commission of inquiry into the unrest that was witnessed during the presidential election in Tanzania last year found that it was not spontaneous but orchestrated by politicians and activists. The commission says money was paid and instruction given to disrupt the election. The report presented to President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Thursday however fell short of naming names. Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan however says a special investigative team will pursue prosecution.
