Police in Chepalungu Sub-County, Bomet County, have arrested a 32-year-old woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband during a violent altercation at Embassy Bar and Restaurant in Kapkwen centre on November 24, 2025. According to Bomet County police commandant Edward Imbwaga, the couple—Benard Kipkoech, 36, and Sharon Cherotich, 32—engaged in a heated argument that escalated into a fight, during which Cherotich allegedly broke a Guinness bottle and stabbed her husband in the neck. The victim was rushed to Tenwek Mission Hospital but died upon arrival.
