Youths from Macalder Kanyarwanda in the semi-arid region of Nyatike Sub-County, Migori County, are urging the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to devolve continuous voter registration services to the grassroots.
Led by Kennedy Nyambok, the youths say the vastness of Nyatike makes it difficult and costly for young people to travel to IEBC constituency offices to register as voters. They are calling for accessible registration centres within local communities to encourage more youth participation ahead of the 2027 General Election.
